My love for the Snickers Bar runs deep.
My sass of a grandma was the absolute best. I keep her with me every day - her wedding ring is next to mine (ask to see it sometime!), and next to this priceless band, I learned many life lessons from her: buy, don't shop; go to the party; when the phone conversation is over, it's ok to just hang up (still can't get that one), laugh, I mean really, authentically laugh, and treat yourself.
She always had a bag of snack-sized Snickers (The real 2-bite snack sized Snickers, not those silly little nubs they pass on as snack-size now) on the top of her 5-foot icebox. I'd bee-line to that when we visited.
Years move along and life happens. Soon, you're under a deadline to create a recipe for a Valentine's Day TV segment and you blank.
I always gravitate toward chocolate, dates and peanut butter; they are a staple in my fridge at the shop.
I know there are a lot of peanut butter filled dates out there, but I've never tried this concoction. I figure, I know what they all individually taste like, why do I need to mash them?
Consider them mashed and HOLY MOLY! It's my Snickers!
Add a little glitter and a memory of someone you can remember clear as day who you shared this with, and enjoy your Valentine's Day. Mine is much sweeter now. xo

To lose weight, to usher out excess hormones, toxins, medications, etc, to diversify gut flora and strengthen your immune system, adding more fiber to your plate is a VERY good idea.
But how much fiber a day are wee talking?

Adding a plant to every plate is my mantra and that equates to more fiber. But how much for really excellent health? I say 40 - and so do my mentors and those who I have so steadfastly learned from.
But, don't do it once! A stair step approach is all you need and you can do it inside of one month.
Every Tuesday in January, we are upping our fiber intake by 10 grams each week. By the end of the month you will be lighter, have a much better gut flora and have a more enhanced immune system. It's simple, I promise.
