Crunchy Air Fried Avocado with Balsamic Glaze

What could possibly be better than crunching into a soft avocado drizzled with balsamic glaze?

  • 1 slightly under ripe avocado
  • 1 cup oat flour (I used gluten-free)
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs (I used gluten-free)
  • 1 1/2 cups plant-based unsweetened milk beverage
  • Seasonings of choice - I used 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon onion powder and 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons balsamic glaze (or reduction - recipe here)

Set up three bowls and put the flour in one, the panko in one and the milk in the third.

Add the garlic and onion powders to the panko and mix well.

Cut the avocado in half. Then, score the flesh into 4 separate slices.

One by one, dunk the avocado pieces in the milk, then in the flour, back to the milk and finally in the panko.

Dust each avocado with the Italian seasoning.

Air fry for 10 minutes at 400 degrees.

Drizzle with balsamic and enjoy.
