Heart Healthy Upbeet Wrap

Coronary artery disease (CAD) is a common type of heart disease that occurs when the blood vessels supplying the heart muscle (coronary arteries) become narrowed or blocked and is the leading cause of death in the United States. About 695,000 people in the United States died from heart disease in 2021. That’s one person every 33 seconds and represents 1 in every 5 deaths.
By eating foods high in nitrites that convert to nitric oxide that helps our blood vessels naturally contrast and expand (breathe, if you will) and not become stiff, we considerably lessen the chance of becoming a statistic. Did you know that you can reverse high blood pressure and heart disease in many instances, just by what is on the end of your fork?! Foods high in nitrites like what we have here in this recipe will get you on your way.
