Pumpkin Spice Hummus
There is a pumpkin everything, and why not include hummus on that list! The chickpeas and cumin help balance out the sweetness of the season's favorite squash and I think you'll love the velvety flavor!
Ingredients
Setup
- 1 14-ounce (1 1/2 cups) can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 14-ounce (1 1/2 cups) can of pumpkin puree
- 1 heaping tablespoon of tahini
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 3/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- pinch of salt
Directions
Blend all ingredients in a blender until creamy. Garnish with a sprinkle of both cumin, pumpkin pie spice and pepitas.
I use a blender because I like my hummus very creamy. The food processor also works, if you like your hummus with more texture.
