Nope, not a new concept, but clearly a popular one! By substituting in a dairy free (vegan) cream cheese and adding in extra greens, we've made this old party fav actually sort of (gasp!) healthy!

The sweetness of the natural sugars from the vegetables coupled with the freshness of the dill offers a complex yet lovely flavor. Add the creamy tahini sauce and you have instant comfort food.

I held a (sold out!) vegan dinner event at Sunset 44 restaurant. Owner and executive chef, Bob Menendez was kind enough to put up with me and our collaborated efforts produced a five-course, wine paired fabulous culinary vegan feast to the tune of 100 people. This amuse bouche was his brain child.
