UPDATE! Plant and Pork Lunch Event with Sugarfire Smoke House

It only took two hours to hear it----> "86 the Vegan Ribs!"

When Mike Johnson (SugarFire owner) and I did a Fox2 segment the day before our event he told me that he usually makes 40 special orders, for this event he made 60. The TV segment and a social media frenzy caught the attention of the BBQ-loving STL public and they showed up to support Food Outreach by way of ordering Mike's fall off the bone (lemongrass) Korean vegan ribs.

THURSDAY, September 17 - Roll your sleeves up and get ready to tackle VEGAN RIBS at the award winning Sugarfire!!

In an unsuspecting collaboration, Sugarfire Smoke House and STLVegGirl have come fork to fork to create A Plant and Pig lunchtime event. It's in an effort to create awareness of Hunger Awareness Month (HAM).

Join us Thursday, September 17th at Sugarfire Smoke House on Olive starting at 11am until sold out.

Our special menu will include Vegan BBQ ribs with lemongrass, Korean BBQ sauce and cilantro.
Or...try out the (not so vegan) HAM sandwich, smoked pit ham, maple BBQ sauce, apple chutney, Gouda cheese, arugula, all on cinnamon raisin bread. Along with several vegan side options.

Sooo... invite your friends and support Food Outreach where 50% of the proceeds will continue to help the mission keep going.
